The German picture dictionary is aimed at learners who have to communicate in
German in everyday life and who have deficits in reading and writing the Latin
alphabet.
It is particularly suitable for participants in
literacy courses and immigrants who already know a writing system but now need
to learn the Latin alphabet. The German picture dictionary contains 1,000
thematically arranged keywords at level A1, which are presented in pictures and
text. The total of 29 chapters deal with e.g. Adjectives, nouns and verbs as
well as topics such as work, family and friends, food and drink, shopping and
money, sports and leisure and the time.
